25) Apr 2020 - Financial assistance extended to veda vidwangal impacted by Corono-virus.

The present impact of the pandemic Corona-virus prevalent world-wide has not spared our Veda vidwangal. They have been pushed to undergo great unbearable financial stress, their livelihood itself being at stake.
As directed by HH Sri Sri Sri Sankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Swamigal, “Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Swamimlai Veda Parayanam trust”, in Apr 2020, has extended financial assistance to 60 senior Veda Vidwangal of age group 60-109, all hailing from erstwhile undivided Tanjavoor District.

Earlier during FEB 2019, 41 Senior Veda Vidwangal of age gourp 60-105 were honoured with sambhavanai of Rs. 3.16 Lakhs.

தற்சமயம்அகிலஉலகத்தையும்ஸ்தம்பிக்கவைக்கும்கொரோனா-வைரஸ்-ன்தாக்கத்தினால்நமதுவேதவிதவான்களும்பொருளாதாரரீதியாகபெருமளவில்பாதிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறார்கள். இந்தகளேபரநெருக்கடியிலிருந்துவேதவிதவான்களைமீட்பதுநமதுஅனைவரின்பொறுப்பும்கடமையுமாகும்.
வேதவித்வான்களின்ஸம்ரக்ஷணம்வேதஸம்ரக்ஷணம்ஆகும். இதற்க்கேற்ப, ஸ்ரீபெரியவாஅவர்களின்உத்தரவின்படி, ஸ்ரீமடம்சார்பாகபழையஅகண்டதஞ்சாவூர்ஜில்லாவாசிகளான 60 வயதுக்குமேற்பட்டவேதவித்வான்களுக்கு2020 ஏப்ரல்மாதம்ஸம்பாவனைமேற்படிட்ரஸ்டின்மூலம்வழங்கப்பட்டது.

HH Sri Sri Sri Sankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Swamigal Jayanthi
Parayanam was held for 8 days from 14-2-2020 upto Jayanthi
mahothsavam on 21-2-2020;
On the concluding Jayanthi day, Sudarsana homam was performed. In the evenings, besides the main parayanam,
Gayathri Sahasranama archanai, Brahma and Saraswathi ashtothrams
were also rendered.
Total 10 Vidwangal participated.

22) Honoring Senior Veda Vidwangal : Feb 2019
On the occasion of the 25th year Aradhanai of HH Sri Maha Periava, 41 senior Veda Vidwangal of 60 years and above (age bracket 60 to 105) from old Thanjavooor District, with the blessings of HH Sri Sri Sri Sankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Swamigal, were honored on behalf of Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam. A sum of Rs 3,16,500/- towards honororium and other incidentals were extended by Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Swamimalai Veda Parayanam Trust.

17) Aug 2017 :Vinayakar Chathurthi Uthsava Parayanam at Thiruvalanchuli
Parayanam : Rig Veda Ganam.
Duration : 11 days of the uthsavam from 17-8-2017 to 27-8-2017.
Venue : Sri Swethe Vinayakar Koil at Thiruvalanchuli.
The rendering was done by 8 Ganapati Veda Vidwangal lead by
Brahmasri Kailasanatha Ganapatigal.
Everyday evening, parayanam concluded with chathur veda
Avatharikai by veda vidwangal.
All vedavidwangal, temple Sivacharyas & temple staff were duly
honored.

Swamimalai Veda Parayanamwas Inaugurated on 13-09-2010 by 6 Veda Vidvangal drawn 2 each from Rig, Krishna Yajur&KouthamaSamaVedam, followed by Parayanam on every Anusham.

3)March 2011 : 2 more Veda Sakhais - Sukla Yajur & Jaimini Samam :
From 24-03-2011 Anusham, the content of the parayanam was enhanced to include the Sukla Yajur Vedam and the rare Jaimini Sakhai of Sama Vedam. Thus nowWith these additional Sakai, 10 Vedia vidwangal, 2 each from Rig, Krishna Yajur, Sukla Yajur, Kouthama & Jaimini Sakhais of Sama Vedam participate in the Parayanam.
4) Aug 2011 - Atharva Veda Moola Parayanam (Annual ) begins: Any Program on Veda Parayanam is deemed to be exhaustive only when all the four Vedas (including Atharvana Vedam are accommodated. Atharvana Veda Vidvangal have to be drafted from out-stations. So, In our efforts to bring AtharvanaVedam also into the perviewof ‘Swamimalai Veda Parayanam’, an annual program was arranged.
Duration : 6th aug 2011 to 8th Aug 2011 Anusham. (3 days)
Parayanam : Sounaka Sakai Atharvana Veda Sahmithai.
Narration : During 6th to 8th Aug 2011, ending with Anusham on 8th Aug 2011, Atharva veda sahmithai poorna moola was rendered by 4 South Indian Atharvana Veda Vidwangal. It is an unique programme in the sense that the 4 Pundits were “Dwi-Vedies” i.e. besides their own Yajussakai, have additionally completed Vedaabyasam of Atharvana Sounaka Sakhai. Two of participating scholars are the ones whom during mid-1960s HH Sri Maha Periava sponsored to undergo full-fledged Atharva Veda Paatam for 5 years under an eminent scholar Brahmasri Ramanicklal Pancholi at Sinor village in Gujarat.

6) 27th April 2012- Sukla Shashti Prayanam commences :
The scope of monthly parayanam was extended to Sukla Shashti also from Nandana Year 2012-2013.Now 27/04/2012 onwards, Parayanam is being heldon every Sukla Shashti also besides Anusham.
------------------------------------------------------ 7) 21st Sep 2012 - Rig Veda Nithya Parayanam starts: Their Holiness have further directed that Swamimalai Parayanam, presently conducted on every Anusham & Sukla Shashti be gradually extended to be held “DAILY” (Nithya Parayanam) on all Vedas. Accordingly we were graced to start Rig Veda NithyaParayanam from 21-09-2012 synchronizing with Anusham & SuklaShashti

8) VyasaPoojaiVasthraSamarpanam To Sri Swaminathaswami It is customary that “VyasaPoojaiVasthram” from Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam is offered to Swamimalai Sri Swaminathaswamy every year during Chaathurmasya Vratham. In line with this tradition, as directed by their Holiness, on the concluding day of Atharva Veda Parayanam on 8-8-2011 Anusham, Ushath Kala Abhishekam was performed to the Lord; and Sri Swaminathaswamy was adorned with Vyasa poojai vasthram.
Sri Rudram, PanchaRudram, Sama Veda Rudram, Atharvana Veda Rudram, KumaaraSooktham followed by chamakam, PurushaSooktham&NakshatraSookthametc were all rendered by Veda Parayana Pundits. Sri Swaminathaswami was adorned with the “Vyasa Poojai Vastram”. The entire event was an enthralling divine scenario. “KumaaraBhojanam” was arranged as a part of Vasthra Samarpanam programme. Same evening, Anusha Parayanam was rendered by 14 Vedic Scholars.

9) 25-05-2013 Sri Maha Periava Jayanthi parayanam inaugurated : Venue : Sri Swaminathaswamy Koil, swamimalai Parayanam : Rig Veda Sookthangal
From Vijaya Year (2013-2014) onwards, Rig Veda Sookthangal Parayanam is arranged on every Jayanthi of HH Sri Maha Periava. The first parayanam was performed on 25-05-2013 during 7:30 to 10:30 A.M. on Ganapathy Sooktham, Souram, Purusha Sooktham, PanchaRudram, Devi Sooktham, Pavamanam, Manyu Sooktham, Go Sooktham, Kumaara Sooktham (rendered in “Thiruchendoor Pattern”), kumaara Upanishad and Veda Manthrangal on Sri Subramanyaswamy. *This JayanthiParayanamis held every year henceforth

10)Nov 2013 Atharvana Veda Poorna Samhitha Parayanam – twice a year For the first 2 years 2011& 2012, Atharvana Veda Poorna Samhithai Parayanam was held once a year. Their Holiness directed that this will be twice a year from 2013 onwards.
The 1st session was during 11th to 14th Sep 2013 & the 2nd session was from 5th to 8th Nov 2013 coinciding with Skanda Shashti on 8th Nov 2013.

11) Jan 2015 : Monthly Krithikai Rig Veda Parayanam : Started As directed by their Holiness, the scope of Swamimalai Veda Parayanam was extended to every KritthikaiNakshathram on Rig Veda Sookthangal.
28-01-2015 : The first Krithikai parayanam was held with 6 Brahmacharee Veda Vidwangal.

விசேஷ பாராயணம்6-9-2015 முதல் 9-9-2015 வரை.
ஸ்ரீ மஹா பெரியவா அவர்களின் பூர்வாஸ்ரம குல தெய்வமான ஸ்வாமிமலை ஸ்ரீ ஸ்வாமிநாதஸ்வாமி கோவில் கும்பாபிஷேகம் சென்ற 9-9-2015அன்று நடைபெற்றது. ஸ்ரீ காஞ்சி காமகோடி பீடம் ஜகத்குரு சங்கராசார்யா ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ ஜயேந்த்ர ஸரஸ்வதி ஸ்வாமிகள், ஜகத்குரு சங்கராசார்யா ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ சங்கர விஜயேந்த்ர ஸரஸ்வதி ஸ்வாமிகள் ஆஞ்ஞைப்படி, இந்த உத்ஸவத்தை முன்னிட்டு, 6-9-2015 முதல் 9-9-2015 வரை ப்ரதி தினமும் ருக், க்ருஷ்ண யஜுர், சுக்ல யஜுர், கௌதம ஸாமம், ஜைமினி ஸாமம், சௌனக அதர்வணம் ஆகிய 6 சாகைகளில் 36 வேத வித்வான்கள் கலந்துகொண்டு சதுர்வேத பாராயண ஸத்கார்ய கைங்கர்யத்தை மிகவும் ச்ரத்தையுடன் மிக உன்னதமாக நடத்திக்கொடுத்தார்கள். இந்த உத்ஸவ தினங்களில் ப்ரதி தினமும் ஸ்ரீ ஸ்வாமிநாதஸ்வாமிக்கு 6 சாகைகளில் வேத அவதாரகை நடைபெற்றது. அனைத்து வேத வித்வான்களும், யாகசாலை சிவாசார்யார்களும் கௌரவிக்கப்பட்டார்கள்.
ஸ்ரீஸ்வாமிநாதஸ்வாமி கோவில் மண்டல அபிஷேகம் : விசேஷ பாராயணம்:24-10-2015:
24-10-2015 அன்று மண்டல அபிஷேகம் நடைபெற்றது. ருக், க்ருஷ்ண யஜுர், சுக்ல யஜுர், கௌதம ஸாமம், ஜைமினி ஸாமம், சௌனக அதர்வணம் ஆகிய 6 சாகைகளில்25வேத வித்வான்கள் சதுர்வேத பாராயணம் மிகவும் ச்ரத்தையுடன் மிக உன்னதமாக நடத்திக்கொடுத்தார்கள். அனைத்து வேத வித்வான்களும், கோவில் சிவாசார்யார்களும் கௌரவிக்கப்பட்டார்கள்.

13) 2015 Sep/Oct : சங்கட ஹரண சதுர்த்தி பாராயணம்
ஸ்வாமிமலை வேத பாராயாண திட்டத்தின் விரிவாக்கமாக, ஸ்ரீ பால பெரியவா உத்தரவுப்படி, திருவலஞ்சுழி ஸ்ரீ ஸ்வேத விநாயகர் கோவிலில் சென்ற 17-09-2015 விநாயகர் சதுர்த்தி அன்று 1-10-2015 முதல் ஒவ்வொரு சங்கட ஹரண சதுர்த்தி அன்றும் மாலை கர்பூர அபிஷேகத்தின்போது ருத்ரம், சமகம் மற்றும் விநாயகர் ஸம்மந்தமான ஸூக்த பாராயணம் நடைபெற்றது.
