Blessings for renovation of Adi Shankara Vimana Mandapam at Triveni Sangamam

His Holiness Pujya Shri Jayendra Saraswathi Shankaracharya Swamigal & His Holiness Pujya Shri Shankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Shankaracharya Swamigal blessed the commencement of renovation work of Adi Sankara Vimana Mandapam situated at Triveni Sangamam, Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. The committee comprising of Shri CR Rajendran Retd IAS, CR Sundaramurti Retd IAAS (Sons of Late CS Ramachandra ICS) & Shri Raman Retd IAS, presented to His Holiness the scope of repairs & electrical works estimating about One crore Rupees budgeted by G. Jayendran Sthapathy (S/o Late SM Ganapaty Sthapathy). The Adi Shankara Vimana Mandapam was constructed with the divine blessings of Kanchi Paramacharya HH Pujyashri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Mahaswamigal & consecrated by HH Pujya Shri Jayendra Saraswathi Shankaracharya Swamigal in late 70s & early 80s. Late CS Ramachandran ICS had taken up the responsibility to build the Mandapam & late SM Ganapathy Sthapathy had done the construction. Presently the next generation is involved in the renovation committee with the divine blessings of His Holiness.

Adi Sankara Vimana Mantapam Kalady

The Mandapam comprises of three storeys with shrines for Sahasra Linga, Balaji, Adi Shankara and other Shanmata dieties. The Mandapam situated right on the banks of Triveni Sangamam is a delight for devotees to have a glimpse of Shikhara Darshan after performing Sangama Snanam. During the flooding season the Mandapam gives a beautiful sight of a Teppotsavam! Reputed media houses cover the events of Kumbha Mela done from the Mandapam complex. The Ardha-Kumbh Mela is expected to commence from December 2018-January 2019. Hence it is wished that the Mandapam is renovated before the event.
