Pujyashri Acharya's Visit to Gayatri Temple, Avanigadda

His Holiness Pujyashri Shankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Shankaracharya Swamigal visited Sri Gayatri Temple constructed by the local Brahmana Sangham. Special Harathi was performed & His Holiness delivered Anugraha Bhashanam.

Later His Holiness left for Hamsaladeevi via Koduru for night stay. Shri Mandali Buddha Prasad, Deputy Speaker, Andhra Pradesh Govt. accompanied the entourage.

Hamsaladeevi is a tiny village located about 8 to 10kms ahead of Krishna-Samudra Sangamam area. Shri Venugopala Swamy Temple & one Shivalayam are situated in the village. The names of the temples and the village finds mention in the Sri Krishna Mahatmyam which describes the journey of the Krishna river, starting from the point of origin in the Sahyadri Hills in Maharashtra to its confluence with the sea in Bay of Bengal near Hamsaladeevi.
