Shri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam Shrimatam branch is located in Jayanthipur in the East Medinipur District, West Bengal. Jayanthipur can be reached by train from Howrah. One should alight at a station called CHANDRAKONA ROAD from where the Shrimatam complex can be reached by Taxi / Auto / Bus in about 30 minutes. Jayanthipur is at a distance of about 55 Kms from Kharagpur.
The Shri Ram - Janaki Mandir Temple Complex opens at 7 a.m. in the morning and closes at 12 noon.In the evening, the temple is open from 4 pm to 7 pm. Sannadhis for Shiva, Navagrahas and Shri Adi Shankaracharya are present. A havan shala forms part of the temple complex. A temple tank is located. Two Pujaris perform the daily pujas.
Local devotees visit the complex everyday.
A Goshala is located in the complex.
Shukla Yajur Veda, Sama Veda and Atharvans Vedas are taught in the Veda Patashala. The Veda Patashala has three teachers, one for each shakha.
7 students are learning Shukla Yajur Veda , 7 students in the Sama Veda and Atharvana Vedic studies is being pursued by 6 students.
