Vasantotsavam at Sri Kanchi Kamakshi Ambal Devasthanam
It was a double delight and blessing for devotees who participated in the Vasantotsavam of Sri Kanchi Kamakshi Ambal to witness the pushpabhishekam and visesha pujas offered by Pujyashri Shankara Vijayendra Saraswati Shankaracharya Swamigal and Pujyashri Satya Chandrasekharendra Saraswati Shankaracharya Swamigal. The ever-resplendent goddess Jagannatha Kamakshi was bathed in varieties of flowers of different colours and hues by the Jagadguru Acharyas, even as mantras and shlokas were recited. The utsavam marks the celebration of the spring festival, and observed during the Tamil month of Vaikasi and is conducted in the ‘Vasanta Mandapam’ in the outer prakaram of the temple.
