25/11/2022 to 10/12/2022

 

His Holiness arrived at Perur from Munganda on 24/11 night. His Holiness was enthusiastically received by villagers led by Mantha family. On arrival at Srimatam camp in Mantha’s residence, Pada Puja was performed by the family while Sri Vishwanatha Gopalkrishna Sastry conducted the proceedings. In a brief Anugraha Bhashanam, His Holiness talked about the upcoming festivals and traced the previous visits of Kanchi Peetam to this village. 

 

25/11/2022

His Holiness gave darshan early on Friday and performed two Kala Puja and in the evening, the third Kala was performed. In between His Holiness attended the Rudra Homam performed at the Madanagopala Swamy temple for Lokakshema.

 

26/11/2022

His Holiness gave darshan and then performed Pujas. In the evening, His Holiness gave darshan and performed third Kala Puja.

 

27/11/2022

His Holiness gave darshan and then performed Trikala Puja. At 4 PM His Holiness addressed through Video conference release function of book by Sri Vedantamji of VHP. Late in the evening, His Holiness visited Chandramouleeswara Temple & Kamakshi Peetam at Amalapuram apart from house visits of devotees. His Holiness gave Anugraha Bhashanam in both the temples. His Holiness returned back to camp at 10:30 PM.

28/11/2022

His Holiness gave darshan and then performed Trikala Puja. In the evening His Holiness visited Bhadrakali Sametha Veereswaraswamy Temple at Muramalla town which is an ancient Shiva Kshetra. It is about an hour’s drive from Perur. Devotees desirous of good marriage visit the temple and special prayers are held. Nitya Kalyanam of Shiva & Parvathi is special feature of the temple. There is a Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple adjoining this temple. His Holiness was received by temple authorities and special Deeparadhanams performed in all the shrines. While we are generally used to seeing separate shrines for Swamy & Ammavaru, the uniqueness of the Garbhagruham at Muramalla is that goddess Bhadrakali is just left of  Veereshwaraswamy Shivalingam. His Holiness delivered Anugraha Bhashanam stressing the need of a Dharmic life and a healthy Gruhasthashramam as a an important factor to achieve it. His Holiness next visited Sri Subrahmanya Swamy temple at Mummidivaram. A samashti Pada Puja was performed at the Dharmakartha’s residence. His Holiness returned to Srimatam Camp at 10 PM.













 

29/11/2022

His Holiness gave a brief darshan at commenced Puja early. Two Kala Pujas were completed by 11:30 and His Holiness went to Shiva temple where Subbaraya Shashti was being observed. Brahmacharis from Perur and nearby villages participated in the event. The Brahmacharis on arrival were given Veshti & Panchapatrams. After which they performed Sandhyavandanam & Agnikaryam. Samashti Gayathri Japam was performed and then Subrahmanya Swamy Pujas were commenced. Dampathis performed Gayathri Sahasranama Archana and Gayathri Homam was performed too. His Holiness delivered Anugraha Bhashanam for the event. Veda Bhashayam Salakshana  Sri Vishnu Bhatla Subrahmanya Ghanapathi, Sri Vishwanatha Gopalkrishna Sastry, local Smartha Vidwans from Perur attended and gave short discourses. Kumara Bhojanam commenced after all the Brahmacharis took Teertha Prasadam from His Holiness. As is the practise in Godavari District, the tradition of chanting special shlokas during Bhojanam was a very special feature. Remembering the divine and conveying gratitude for the bounty that he has bestowed on us is hallmark of this practise. 















 

A special Veda Sabha was held at Srimatam Camp. The Krishna Yajur Veda Sabha was specially held in Srimatam camp for the presence of His Holiness. The Sabha organised by Sri Chitti Ghanapathi family from Avanigadda of Krishna Jill asked Sri Vishnu Bhatla Subrahmanya Salakshana Ghanapathi to conduct the proceedings of the Sabha. Krishna Yajurveda Brahmanam, Samhita, Kramam & Ghanam were recited. There were brief Upanyasams in between the renditions. Late Chitti Ghanapathi was an ardent devotee of Kanchi Paramacharya. It is very important to mention that all his daughters were married to Vedic scholars and his son was named after Kanchi Paramacharya, Sri Chandrashekhar Ghanapathi, had currently arranged this Sabha is a Vedic Scholar. Kanchi Acharyas have always honoured such Vedic families. His Holiness graced the Sabha and blessed the gathering. Sanamans to the Veda Pathis who had participated from Godavari & Krishna Jillas was done in the presence of His Holiness.










 

Later, His Holiness performed the third Kala Puja.

His Holiness gave darshan and then performed two kala Puja. In the evening His Holiness first visited Koduripadu village Ramalayam and house of Sri Gautam Raju. His Holiness addressing the gathering spoke about Rama Mahima and the contribution of Pujya Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal for Ram Mandir. His Holiness said that Bhumi Puja for this temple on August 5, 2020 which was the Janma Dinam of Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal and that all the Samagris for the Puja were sent from Kanchi. His Holiness also touched upon the ancient connections of Ayodhya & Kanchi as described in Lalitopakhyanam. After Padapuja His Holiness left for Pasarlapudi Lanka, a village across the Godavari bridge. 

 

At Pasarlapudi Lanka, His Holiness was received in the entrance of the village. From the entrance till Sri Annapurna Sametha Sri Agastheeswara Swamy temple, which took more than one hour to reach, His Holiness alighted the car to give darshan to village people. Each house was lighted, decorated and Harathis performed to receive the Jagadguru. The crowd was never ending and it gave anxious moments to Srimatam staff as it was getting inadvertently late than expected. His Holiness acknowledged the devotion of all the people and reached the temple. After performing Pujas at the shrine, Pada Puja was performed to His Holiness. His Holiness delivered Anugraha Bhashanam and then left for Doddavaram village. 

 

The entourage reached Doddavaram. The villagers were extremely disciplined and listened with rapt attention to His Holiness’ address. His Holiness spoke about Bhakti & Dharma. After blessing Prasadams, His Holiness came back to Perur at 10 PM and then performed the third Kala Puja which completed at 12 midnight.

His Holiness gave darshan in the morning before Puja. After Puja, His Holiness visited the various settlements in and around Perur village. The people of each settlement warmly accorded reception to His Holiness. His Holiness visited Ramalayam and gave Pravachanam. A special music programme was held by Satkala Vahini group at the instance of His Holiness. Devotional songs were sung and the people too joined the chorus. His Holiness visited three Ramalayam wherein His Holiness stressed on greatness of Hindu Dharma, its inherent intent to evolve people into enlightened beings and blessed each gathering. The people were extremely enthusiastic to receive His Holiness and listened to His speeches with unwavering attention. It was very heartening to see children of about 8 to 10 years keeping utmost silence and according reverential Namaskarams to His Holiness. Sri Vishwanatha Gopalakrishna Sastry with the directions of His Holiness talked about Ramayana & Human Values. Returning to camp about 10 PM His Holiness commenced third Kala Puja and completed at 11:45 PM.

His Holiness gave darshan to large crowd of people. The previous day visit to all settlements of the village had already created an impact. His Holiness had instructed to provide notebooks & pens to children to write Rama Nama and hundreds were already writing. After a long Darshan to people His Holiness went for Puja. The Pujas were over by 4 PM. After evening darshan, His Holiness started the Shukravara Puja and it ended by 11:15 PM.

His Holiness gave darshan early in the morning. As it was Gita Jayanthi, Gita Sampoorna Parayanam had been organised at Srimatam camp. His Holiness gave a discourse on Bhagavdgita. Justice Sri Sivasankar attended the inauguration. Sri Vishwantha Gopalkrishna Sastry, Sri Ramlal Sastry & Sri Oruganti Sastry led the Parayanam. It was performed in the Shatka method wherein, after each six chapters, discourses on Karma Yoga, Bhakti Yoga & Gnana Yoga were given by Sri Ramlal Sastry, Sri Oruganti Sastry & Sri Vishwantha Gopalkrishna Sastry respectively.  His Holiness performed two Kala pujas.










 

In the evening, As it was Ekadasi, His Holiness visited Narasimha Swamy temple in Perur and returned back to camp address Brahmavidya group via zoom for Gita Jayanthi. His Holiness then performed third Kala Puja after which His Holiness addressed New England Brahmana Samaj for Gita Jayanthi.  With the blessings of His Holiness the team named ‘Medha’ is conducting shloka training for special children and His Holiness has been periodically blessing the children and the team.  The Samaj had organised Gita Jayanthi celebrations and the special children were part of the event. His Holiness addressed via zoom and concluded at 12:15 mid night.

 

4/12/2022

 

His Holiness gave a brief darshan and commenced Pujas very early. Trikala Pujas were completed at 11:15 and His Holiness started for Antarvedi at 12 in the afternoon. Briefly stopping at Madanagopalaswamy temple to bless ‘Surashtram’ event, the entourage started towards Antarvedi. Antarvedi is a coastal town where Godavari joins the sea. There are six more places where Godavari reaches the sea but Antarvedi is very prominent among them. The route from Perur to Antarvedi was picturesque. His Holiness was constantly stopping all along the route to bless Prasadams to village people. On reaching Antarvedi His Holiness was received by endowment officials who took His Holiness first to Samudra Sangamam, then to the place where Chakra Snanam is observed, then to Neelakantha Swamy temple who is the Kshetrapalaka of Antarvedi and finally to Narasimha Swamy temple who is the presiding deity. At Samudra Sangamam His Holiness performed Pujas and a passages from Shankaracharya Stotra was recited. A Shankaracharya Vigraham was kept on shore and worshipped. It may be remembered that Kanchi Acharyas have installed Shankaracharya Murthis in Dwadasha Jyotirlinga Kshetrams and other Punya Teerthams. His Holiness advised the officials to make a special place to house Shankaracharya’s idol and inscribe it with Narasimha Stotra written by the Jagadguru. Special prayers were performed in Neelakantha Swamy temple. In the main temple His Holiness was received with special honours. Visehsha Pujas and Harathi was performed in the main shrine. As Upanishad Parayanam was being performed while His Holiness was in the shrine, devotees who accompanied had a satisfying darshan and Prasadam. The Devasthanam then gave Kanuka and other offerings to His Holiness.

























His Holiness then visited Vasishthashram. His Holiness then visited Kapotheshwara Swamy temple at Kadali village and addressed the people. Then His Holiness visited Bala Balaji temple at Appanapalli before returning back to Srimatam camp at 11:45 PM. It was a very memorable day for everyone. Seeing such ancient places mentioned in Puranams along with His Holiness was a very fortunate experience. Even at late night people were waiting in large numbers in Appanapalli village to receive His Holiness which was a humbling experience. The evergreen enthusiasm of His Holiness was the motivating factor for one & all.

His Holiness gave early darshan, visited Yoga Sadhana Ashram for Shanku Sthapanam and returned back to camp for Puja. In the evening His Holiness performed Pradosha Puja and addressed the gathering. The day concluded with His Holiness address to Bhajanotsavam event conducted by Kadayanallur Rajagopala Bhagavathar via zoom from 10PM to 10:45PM.





 

6/12/2022

 

His Holiness gave darshan and then went for Puja. Ashvalayana Sabha was commenced with Rigveda Parayanam & Homam. His Holiness went to Bandurulanka and other places in and around Amalapuram after which third Kala Puja was performed.

 

7/12/2022

 

His Holiness gave darshan and performed Puja. As it was Karthika Deepam & Pournami His Holiness commenced Pujas once again at 5 PM and lit the Deep in front of Chandramouleeshwara Swamy at 6 PM. Special shlokas for liberation of one & all and prayers to Mahabali are recited during the event. His Holiness continued to complete the Puja at 10.15 PM. Lalitha Sahasranama Parayanam was then performed. Earlier in the day, His Holiness blessed the Soundarya Lahari Yantra Puja and Parayana programme. In the afternoon after puja, Purohita Sangam meeting was held and local purohitas were blessed with Anugraha Bhashanam and other sanmaanaas.

His Holiness gave early darshan and addressed Rashtriya Swayamsevak volunteers for about an hour. His Holiness then performed Trikala Puja which was completed at 4PM. In the evening His Holiness visited temple in KIMS Medical College, Peram Agraharam, Bhupiah Agraharam and couple of other visits before concluding the day.























 

9/12/2022

 

His Holiness gave darshan for a long duration and commenced Pujas. After a brief darshan in the evening HisHoliness performed Shukravara Pujas which got over at about 11:45PM.

 

10/12/2022

 

His Holiness gave darshan and then performed Trikala Pujas. His Holiness addressed the concluding session in Perur village. Swarna Kankanms were given to Sri Vishwanatha Gopalakrishna Sastry & Sri Ramlal Sastry commending their services to Shastras. Octogenarian devotee Sri Behera Garu of Kamakshi Peetam was also blessed with Swarna Kankanam commending his devotion & service to society. His Holiness then blessed Swarna Kasu to Enamandram Venugopala Sastry during the conclusion of Ashwalayana Sabha. His Holiness addressed the gathering and blessed devotees. His Holiness then went for few house visits. 

 

11/12/2022

His Holiness left Perur village early today morning and reached Gangalakuru village. Though it was raining, His Holiness was enthusiastically received by people. His Holiness commenced Pujas after giving darshan to devotees.
