Today is Vaishaka Moolam -the Peetarohana Jayanthi of Pujyashri Sankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Shankaracharya Swamiji. His Holiness was initiated into Sanyasashrama on this day (as per Nakshatra) 38 years back in 1983 (English date - 29 May 1983) at the Sri Vinayaka Sannadhi in the temple tank of Sri Kamakshi Ambal temple. Special Abhishekam was performed today at the sannadhi. Visesha Parayanam & Homams have been organised today and tomorrow at Srimatam.
