Gruhapravesham of Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam Cultural Centre, New Delhi performed-1 Dec. 2019 With blessings of Pujyashri Shankaracharya Swamigal, the Gruhapravesham of Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam Cultural centre was performed in New Delhi on 1 December 2019. Pujyashri Shankara Vijayendra Saraswati Shankaracharya Swamigal blessed the occasion through Video conference. The Gruhapravesham commenced with Go-Puja in the early morning accompanied with mellifluous notes of the Nadaswaram. Ganapati Puja and Homam, Navagraha Homam and Vastu Homam was performed. Kalasabhishekam was performed at the Gopuram with sanctified waters from the Mantra Kalasham. This was followed by Chandi homam and Parayanam. Shankaracharya stotras, and other prayers were offered followed by Tiruppugazh. Pujyashri Shankaracharya Swamigal gave Anugraha Bhashanam. In the Anugraha Bhashanam, His Holiness spoke on the Shanmata – Six forms of upasana (worship) of Sri Adi Shankaracharya. He mentioned how Tradition Centres like this are required in the country today, in addition to the Trade Centres that exist. Veda Pandits of different Vedic Branches rendered Vedic chanting. Shri Faggan Singh Kulaste, Union Minister honored the scholars with shawl and Sambhavana. The Havan were performed by a team of Veda Pandits from the South led by Shri Mahabhaleshwar Bhat, Adhyapak of Shrimatam Veda Patashala in Polur near Tiruvannamalai.
Located on Ayyapa Mandir Marg in Sector 1, RK Puram, the centre will conduct activities in the three spheres of Education, Health and Culture ( Vidya, Vaidya and Veda) for the benefit of entire Society.
The construction of the centre was carried out by M/s Shapoorji Pallonji Construction Ltd. The gopuram and other statues and Murals of traditional South Indian style were built by Sri Nandakumar Stapaty, a product of Shrimatam's Shilpa Patashala in Kanchipuram.
A large number of devotees participated. Mahaprasadam was served after the programme. A special memento and calendar were brought out on the occasion. Various dignitaries participated including Shri Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi, Sri Faggan Singh Kulaste – Union Minister. .
