His Holiness with Traditional Parivattam

As part of the 117th Jayanthi celebrations of His Holiness Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Mahaswamiji and the 75th Jayanthi of His Holiness Pujyasri Jayendra Saraswathi Sankaracharya Swamiji, an Ati Rudram and Sahasrachandi Mahayagam was organized at Sri Kanchi Kamakshi Ambal Temple.

The Mahayagam commenced with Sri Mahaganapati Homa and Navagraha Homa on the 28th May 2010.

Vasordhara and Maha Poornahuti of the Yagnam took place today, 9 June 2010 at around 11 am in the divine presence of His Holiness Pujyasri Jayendra Saraswathi Sankaracharya Swamiji and His Holiness Pujyasri Sankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Sankaracharya Swamiji and several other Advaita Math heads.

After the Atirudra Poornahuti, Chandi Poornahuti took place. Following this, the sanctified water from the yagna was taken in a ceremonial procession and abhishekam(Avabratha Snanam) was offered to Sri Durga and Sri Kamakshi. Devotees who had gathered in large numbers had the unique opportunity of witnessing His Holiness Pujyasri Sankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Sankaracharya Swamiji performing the abhishekam and pujas to Sri Durga in the presence of His Holiness Pujyasri Jayendra Saraswathi Sankaracharya Swamiji. Their Holinesses witnessed the abhishekam to Goddess Kamakshi, Alankaram and Deeparadhana. Traditional parivattam was offered to His Holiness at the Adi Sankara Sannadhi.

As on the Poornahuti day at the recently held Ati Rudram-Sahasra Chandi Homam at Kalavai about a week back, divine blessings was showered in the form of mild showers during the Poornahuti.
