Celebrations of the 76th Jayanthi of His Holiness Pujyasri Jayendra Saraswathi Sankaracharya Swamiji commenced at Srimatam with Veda Parayanam. On the occasion, Rig, Yajur and Sama Veda Parayanam was performed by Veda Pandits and students from Srimatam's Veda Patasalas. A constant flow of devotees various places offered their obeisance to Pujyasri Acharya Swamiji. A special Nadaswaram recital was held in the evening, followed by the Nadasamarpanam programme by Saxophone stalwart and Srimatam's Aashtana Vidwan PadmaSri Kadri. S. Gopalnath accompanied by Selvii. A. Kanyakumari on the violin, Sri. K.V. Prasad on the Mridangam, Sri. Vaikom Gopalakrishnan on Ghatam and Sri. Bangalore Rajasekar on the Morsing. |
